Northwestern beats Depaul
This was a game to watch the game started off with switching off for the lead till the Northwestern wildcats broke away with a lead of six and then eight and then eventually eleven. This all turned around though as time went on Depaul gained back the lead in the last thirty-eight seconds. It was tied with thirty eight seconds to go and then Beth Marshall of the wildcats made a two pointer then broke away for a three this meant the cats were up by four with twenty –two seconds to go. There were lots of shots but none in with the last seconds to go then Brittany Orban got fouled and shot free throws. Brittany made one of the two free throws. The game ended with top scores from Kristen Cartwright with 13, Beth Marshall with 14, Brittany Orban with 7 and Meshia Reed with 7. The game ended with Northwestern winning with a score of 59 to 54. (Depaul is internationally ranked as NO.15)
Northwestern Wins Again
The Northwestern women’s basketball team won their game against IPFW. The team won with a score of 78 to 58. The girls all had a great game with lots of hard work. They stole passes and grabbed rebounds whenever possible. There was also some fouls; one that really stuck out was by number 4(Stephanie Rosado) from IPFW, the number 4 (IPFW) and 22(NU) both fell and when getting up there was a forceful kick towards 22 by 4. There was lots of scoring which was lead by Amy Jaeshcke with 18, Kendall Hackney with 12 and, Maggie Mocchi with 10.
Northwestern Beats SIU Edwardsville
At Friday night’s Northwestern women’s basketball game the team put up another win. The team won with a score of 68 to 37. The girls played a good game with room for improvement. There were lots of turnovers which was not the best but in the end it worked. The scoring was lead by Dannielle Diamant with 17 points and Amy Jaeschke with 16 points. This was Amy’s third game of the season with double digits.
