The Watch

By: Alicia, Grade Seven
Middle South

In a little cottage in the middle of a dark, lonely wood laid a watch. It lay in the middle of the dusty floor right by the couch and the table. This may not seem important but it most certainly was. This watch unlike ordinary watches had a hollow area behind the face. This area was no bigger then 3 centimeters. Yet it contained something more important than time itself.

Wonderful Winter

Wonderful Winter
By: Archana Warrier, 7th
Middle School South

Sitting by the fireside
How warm is it inside?
Sipping coco warm and brown,
Watching soft snow drifting down

Lights and trees guide the way
As the children play
Parents running up and down
A busy feeling over town

Can winter be any better
Than warm coats and sweaters
Santa counting all the letters
From all the real go-getters

There is a new craze hitting the crowds and it isn’t Harry Potter. There was a craze in all bookstores when Stephanie Meyer’s new book Breaking Dawn. Now Stephanie Meyer’s books are hitting the big screen. That’s right, Twilight is coming on the Big screen in November. The Characters are still the same and the casting list can be found on Stephanie Meyer’s website. the casting is as follows Bella-Kristin Steward, Edward-Robert Pattison , Charlie-Billy Burke, Alice-Ashley Greene, Rosalie-Nikki Reed Jasper Jackson Rathbone,Emmett Kellan Lutz,Carlisle Peter Facinelli, James Cam Gigandet, Jacob Black Taylor Lautner, Jessica Anna Kendrick, Mike Newton Michael Welch. There is a saying going around the school that the movie casting ruined the Cullens. I have taken a poll as shown below:

The well loved Twilight series got a huge amount of who refused to read books over 100 pages actually read them and enjoyed it! People who loved to read had to read it again. With so many people reading the series have felt as though something was missing. When they had finished reading Twilight, New Moon and Eclipse, they felt as though there was more to come there is, a lot more.

The Enchanted Door

Casey Hilb

There’s a door, it’s always there, but it’s always locked. It’s near the greenhouse at Merlin’s Academy of Witchcraft and Wizardry. The door must hold something so secret that could change the way we live.

The next day when I woke up I went to my dresser and my mouth dropped open! On my dresser was a velvet pillow with a sparkling gold key. “Emily! Look at this, over here,” I said. As my witch friend Emily tip-toed over, she said “what do you want?”

It starts with an S
And ends with a G,
There are lots of letters in between
They told me to write
But now I am lost,
So here is something: the something poem!

Perfectness

By: "Random Poet in Grade 7"

When I look into your eyes,
I’m lost in the deep sea of blue
The twinkle that they always have,
That certain animation.
The way your perfect red lips pucker,
When you have something on your mind.
Your brilliant teeth blind me when you smile.
The happiness you always seem to have inspires me.
It makes me wonder,
And sets my mind off on an expedition!
