South's Spring Fling Success

Jordan Naleway, Grade Eight
Middle School South

South's Spring Fling was held on Friday, April 13. Student Council, planned, organized, and carried out all of the activities. The event was definately a success. We raised $1,400! The money raised will send a victim of a fire to a camp for children with burns. This will cost $2,000, so now we are even closer to our goal. Thank you to all who came to the event, you really made it successful! I hope you enjoyed student council's hard planning!

The entry fee for the Spring Fling costs $7 to get in. However, the $7 also paid for the wonderful activities. The Spring Fling was held from 6:30-9:00. The activities held at the Spring Fling included:
-Human Hamster Balls
This event was held in the bus hallway. Students could race in an inflated hamster ball!
-Inflatable Obstacle Course

First, you had to crawl under, over, or between the barrier, then climb up the "hill" holding the rope, jump down into the area with huge air barriers, then climb up the tunnel, and slide down to return to the line. This event was held in the multi-purpose room.
