Pep club (as always) has created a wonderful pre-winter break assembly. Choir started off with holiday songs that brought students and teachers into the holiday spirit. Their notes were in tune and they definitely brought the assembly to a great start. Then the marvelous idea of a basketball/teacher dodgeball tournament presented the fun and games. It was exciting to watch, especially the teachers. Next, blindfolded students tried to "pin" the parts on a snowman. We had some, lets say creative snowmen. Seventh and sixth grade both had snowmen deserving first place, eighth grade, good luck next time. After that, cheer and poms teams performed. Both with top notch routines that included well done dancing and stunting. Both teams came out with successful seasons. The gift wrapping contest (two contestants from each grade, teacher and student, did their best two wrap a gift each using only one hand) got competitive. All teams had a great start but when the 7th grade's tape broke Mrs. Elfering snatched the sixth grade tape causing a dispute between the two teams. Overall, this activity was exciting to watch. Thank you pep club for the edge of your seat assembly that brought cheer throughout the school for the holidays.
