Eighth graders are you ready for high school? Some of you might be scared while others are totally confident that you are completely ready, but watch what you say, because you might be wrong.
In high school there is no homeroom, so when you get there you go straight to your first period class. Lunch will be a little longer but half of the period will be a study hall. In high school lunch and other foods, supposedly, tastes better. High school can be cool, put scary. Just remember these tips . . .
-Don’t be afraid of the upper classman. They might seem tougher but they’re probably not.
-Don’t overload on activities. If you are involved in sports try to practice, and then go home and do homework. Hanging out with friends may cause you to stay up until two in the morning doing homework.
-Get involved! Don’t be afraid to try some new clubs or sports, that is a great way to make new friends.
-Try to set up a schedule for homework and friends to keep everything balanced. You definitely don’t want an overload on homework or an overload of bad grades.
-Try to not be scared of high school. High school should be highlight of your teenager years, and you don’t want to waste them.
-If you can’t play sports try out for the play, or even do the crew! Help your school in any way you can. Join yearbook, or newspaper, any club that would benefit the school and students.
-Work you’re hardest all year. Just because it might be the end of the year that doesn’t mean that school is over. All your assignments are still being graded so do them well.
