BOO! Did I scare you because Halloween is right around the corner! Since it is, I asked some of my teachers some questions about Halloween. What are you going to be for halloween? What's your favorite halloween candy? Are you going to scare anyone? If so, who? Trick or treaters? Teachers? Students? Family? Friends? What's your favorite part about Halloween? Is Halloween your favorite holiday? Why? This is what they responded: Mr.Kao: It's a surprise. Tootsie Roll pops, Reese's Pieces, and Butterfingers. No, I don't like wearing scary costumes or scaring people. I like funny costumes. I love dressing up. I have dressed up as Wolverine, Cookie Monster, and Shaggy in the past. Yes, because I love seeing what other people are dressed as.
Mrs.Newton: I'm thinking Cruella DeVille - the south pod teachers are doing a monster/villain theme. 3 Musketeers. Most likely not - I don't have the energy or proper planning. I love fall, so I love that Halloween adds to the festive feel of fall. This year it will be special because it's my daughter's first Halloween, and she'll be going as a cupcake. No....can't compete with Christmas, but it's a close second.
Mrs.Brickman: IDK! It's always such a stressful decision. A monster or a villain. Anything with chocolate in it. No, my kids are too little - I prefer the fun approach and "Oh, you look so cute." Compared to scary. The decorations. It's a tie between Halloween and Christmas. But...I think it's Christmas, I like the warm/happy feeling.
Mrs. LaBissoniere:  I plan to be a fair-weather fan.  (I will wear different items from different baseball teams.)  Any candy bars that are dark chocolate. I really don't like to be scary on halloween. I would rather play different characters that are not scary. Seeing my students dress up in creative costumes. I also love to see the trick-or-treaters in my neighborhood.  No. The fourth of July is my favorite holiday because I love the summer weather.
As you can see, the teachers love Halloween and have some funny, creative, and even crazy costume ideas! I can’t wait to see their costumes! All the delicious candy from gummy worms and lollipops to chocolate, warm pretzels, and hot chocolate! This Halloween will be a spooky and fun night! Trick or treat!
