Hawthorn Middle North girls basketball teams had a wonderful season. One of the main things the girls did well on this was sportsmanship. “The sportsmanship this season fantastic. Every time a girl on our team or the other team would fall, someone from our team would go over to help that person up", states Mr. McKenzie, 6th and 7th grade coach. Overall, the girls won 7 and lost 8. All of the games this year had good defensive and offensive plays executed well by all the talented players. Great job this year girls and good luck next year!

Last Saturday, the team was on fire! If you want to see some good action, see some of the wrestling matches. The coach has been talking to the team about working together as a chain.

The cross country season was phenomenaL Girls and boys tried their hardest and did a great job. The girls had a tough season, but they got 5th in Sectionals. The boys were undefeated and made it to State. The Cross Country team worked hard and they were dedicated. According to Kevin C., "This year it was fun and hard work but it was a good sport to get involved with."

The time has come that the 2011 Spring sports have started! Spring sports are Boys Volleyball, Girls Volleyball, Girls Soccer, and Boys and Girls Track. The track team had their first practice yesterday (3/21/11), and I have to say that this is going to be a tough season. With about 10 track meets in the season, it looks like we are going to be in for a long one.

If you haven't been paying attention, then you wouldn't know that the Bears and the Packers are playing in the NFC championship game. If you don't know what that means, it means that whoever wins that game will go to the Superbowl ! If you don't know what the Superbowl is, then just forget about it. Now, this is a amazing show-down between two NFC North teams who have been rivals for as long as the NFL has been around.
