In the Eagles started their season off to a great start against visiting Hawthorn North. The Hawthon Eagles won the first game behind great serving and passing. In the second game the visiting North Eagles won because of South’s 5 service errors and some shanked passes. In the third game the Eagles won behind only 1 service errors and great passing.

In their second game at Barrington Prarie, the South Eagles didn’t really bring their "A" game. They were watching passes drop to the floor and making bad passes. But at the end of the 1st game they came back tieing the score at 19-19, only to make a service error giving the game to Prarie. After the match the South Eagles dropped all 3 games.

The South Eagles played their 3rd game against visiting Lake Zurich North. All three games the South Eagles were dominate at the net, serving well aside some service errors, and great passing by the back row. But the one of the big reasons the Eagles won was they beat LZ North at serve and serve receive.

Coming out of those 3 games the South Eagles were 2-1.
